Gauri Shanker Children's Home do not get any funding from the government, thus operates on donations from private NGOs. Nepal Children Organization provides about 40% of the expenses but remaining needs to be raised by private and other donors. Since it does not have any such regular donors, it is in financial crisis most of the times to meet the basic requirements.

Dashain is a biggest festival of Nepal related with joy, food and new clothes for the children.

Ncell believes in contributing in whatsoever manner possible for the society. In this milieu, it tried to bring some smile in the faces of children of Gauri Shanker Children on 2009, Kapilbastu and Dhangadi Children's home on 2010,

Likewise provided with clothes, shoes and mattress to" Sagarmatha Anathalaya" on the occasion of opening ceremony of Lahan Ncell center. This Anathalaya also relies on sympathy of the locals.

Appreciating the gesture, the happy children wrote a note of thanks. We felt that the innocent words penned by the children were worth millions.

When fire gutted whole of the village in Siraha in 2012, Ncell Employee Trade Union took initiative and supported fire victims.

Ncell in June 2013 provided immediate relief support of Rs 317,414 to Bal Mandir in order to enable the orphanage meet food and other basic requirements of 140 children living there.

Ncell provided the support after media reported financial troubles in Bal Mandir, which left children remain deprived of food and other basic things. “We are grateful to Ncell. Its support has come just at the right time. It will enable us to feed and provide other basic things to children for another 15 days,” said Ramesh Bhumi, director of Nepal Children Organization (NCO) that operates Bal Mandir.
